Borough code aimed at student lifestyle
As a Penn State student who has enjoyed four years of "excessive" partying, I was deeply disturbed by Wednesday's editorial ("Revised property code may be answer to curb excessive party scene" Wed., Nov. 17). Isn't The Daily Collegian a student newspaper? And if you surveyed the student body, wouldn't you find that most Penn State students enjoy State College's wild nightlife? Why, then, would you support a measure that targets our revered party scene? I urge the editorial board to keep these questions in mind the next time the State College Borough Council tries to pass an anti-student ordinance. Otherwise, you might as well change your logo to The Daily Collegian: "Published Independently by Student Kiss-Ups at Penn State." Roger Mahon
