The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) president likes to think of himself as a "larger-than-life" political figure, ensuring the use of current political jargon such as "mandate." Additionally, the idea has been that the student body at-large demanded constitutional changes from USG and so they voted for Galen. The fact of the matter is that Foulke is the worst student representative for any issue. His ability to garner any support whatsoever was based solely on the thousands of freshmen in East Halls on election morning voting for the trendy and hip candidate known as Foulke 'n' A. That play on words landed him a full in-state tuition stipend and a likely bid into the elite circles next year, all at the cost of students. Thanks to him, students have less representation than ever before. He clearly evaded the opportunity to fight for an issue that unified all of USG; he refused to express his outrage and implement reforms concerning the unprecedented administrative theft of student representation for student organizations. He was in a position to stop administrative control and to represent students, yet chose to do nothing. It's about time someone holds him accountable. After a very short trial, it will finally be possible for USG to accomplish something by removing Galen Foulke and the rest of his administration. Maybe his campaign slogan should have been Foulke 'n' Useless.
