Impeachment takes away from students

I find it very displeasing and unfortunate that the Academic Assembly has taken it upon themselves to impeach a student leader who is truly dedicated to improving student life at Penn State. Then again, I guess the 3,973 votes that Undergraduate Student Government (USG) President Galen Foulke received don't mean much to the 18 members of the Academic Assembly. Through my four years here, I have seen a lot of things go down in USG, but I have never seen a president as hard-working to the student body as Foulke. It is a shame that Foulke is being side-tracked from his platform goals. What good will come out of impeaching a passionate president? Is the assembly really looking out for our best interests? If anything, impeaching Foulke will create even more apathy among students. My advice to Mark Levin: Quit wasting our time on your irrational, retroactive political motions and focus on what is important -- the students. Remember, this is State College, not Washington D.C.
