Letter to the Editor
Ad in newspaper hurts longtime Penn Staters

While in State College for the Northwestern Game, I was appalled to see a half-page ad placed by a fellow from York, proclaiming "Time for Joe to Go." Apparently this fellow doesn't particularly care that Joe Paterno is what "Penn State pride" is all about. Paterno's player graduation rate leads the nation every year. He recruits kids who want a real education and he prepares his players for "real life."

Also look at the fact that his players are as loyal to him as he is to them.

No, apparently all that matters to this fellow is that when Penn State loses a football game, it ruins his Saturday afternoon. It will be a sad day for us all when Paterno retires.

That half-page ad just proves that some people have more money than brains.
