Police investigate sex assault of minor

The State College Police Department is investigating the possible sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl Saturday night at a party at Lion's Gate Apartments, 424 Waupelani Drive.

The victim told police she believed she was sexually assaulted while unconscious at the party. No further details about the incident are available, police said.



Men caught in midst of alleged heist

Two men were arrested this weekend and placed in Centre County Prison for allegedly removing cleaning supplies and computer memory components from four on-campus buildings.

Michael A. Huber of New Jersey and Thomas J. Buschman of Wisconsin were arraigned before District Justice Carmine Prestia and placed in Centre County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.

According to Penn State University Police, officers responded to an alarm in 1 Sparks at about 10 p.m. Thursday. They observed a man inside the room, and when confronted, he tried to leave. He was apprehended after a brief struggle and taken to Eisenhower Parking Deck. A second man arrived at the area and indicated he was an accomplice of the first man, police said. An investigation revealed the men had entered 203 Information Sciences and Technology, Earth and Engineering Sciences Building, Willard Building and 1 Sparks between 6:30 and 9:42 p.m. Thursday and removed cleaning supplies and computer memory components.
