Student hit in head on Friday morning

The State College Police Department is looking for a man who allegedly assaulted another man Friday morning on the 500 block of South Garner Street.

According to police, Penn State student Shane Grube, 19, was walking to a fraternity when a man stepped in front of him and a second man struck him from behind.

Grube was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center for a cut on the back of his head. Grube told police the man who stopped him was white, about 6 feet 1 inch tall and had dark, spiky hair. There is no description available for the man who struck the victim. Police are currently searching for more information.
