A man reported to the State College Police Department at about 2:15 yesterday morning that he had been assaulted near the 100 block of Calder Way. The man told police he was involved in a verbal altercation with a black man, who the victim described as having a very dark complexion and a shaved head. A white man also assaulted the victim, which resulted in the victim being thrown to the ground and possibly breaking his nose.
The victim said the black man was wearing a dark shirt and jeans, and the white man was wearing a white sweatshirt.
No other physical descriptions of the suspects were available yesterday.
The victim said the suspects left the scene in a dark Chevrolet sport utility vehicle.
Police said the incident is still under investigation.
