A matter that Undergraduate Student Government (USG) President Galen Foulke said has taken his time away from more important issues wound its way to the USG Supreme Court last night.

In response to the results of last week's presidential election, students and campus organizations will dress in black attire today for a day of reflection at Penn State.

The Special Olympics athlete oath reads, "Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."

State College Borough Council discussed the pros and cons of an updated property code at its meeting last night, paying particular attention to the effect the new ordinance could have on fraternity houses.

Prior to the Philadelphia Eagles-Pittsburgh Steelers game on Sunday, Gov. Ed Rendell announced that he would ask NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue to have the Super Bowl in State College if the Eagles and Steelers make it to the big game.

SPORTS

Execution, good, smart rugby, no selfish play, discipline and making good decisions were all things that the Penn State men's rugby team (8-2) wanted to work on in its last game against Loyola University this weekend.

Think of the exhibition that will take place in the Bryce Jordan Center tonight as the calm before the storm.

That oh, so bitter taste of losing was something with which the Penn State women's soccer team didn't have to deal too much this season.

There would be no shouting this time. No running after officials, no histrionics and no finger pointing either.

Sports in brief

It's not even the numbers found in losing scores or pathetic amounts of yards. It's the numbers away from the field that are becoming more troubling.

They're the guys who talk, in the post-game interviews, about the onus being on them, about the small things -- individual plays, a specific block here and there -- over which they're kicking themselves.

Despite losing in the Big Ten tournament championship game on Sunday, the No. 3 Penn State women's soccer team cashed in its rebate for its best regular season ever.

Six Penn State students involved in the HIV/AIDS Risk Reduction Program through University Health Services (UHS) traveled to Tampa, Fla., over the weekend to discuss their strategies with other schools at a national conference.

As the Earth's population increases, new methods have been developed in order to support it. Some are accepted, some rejected and others are just misunderstood.

Drowsiness and fatigue can sometimes steer weary drivers off the road.

Today, when prescription drugs fail, some people turn to an alternative approach that encourages prevention rather than just managing symptoms.
