Membership selection is under way for the commission Undergraduate Student Government (USG) President Galen Foulke has created to review the constitution and structure of USG.

Two former Penn State football players were inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Air bubbles burst on the surface of the racing pool in the humid McCoy Natatorium as three students and an instructor hover 10 feet below practicing skills that could save lives in an emergency situation.

Tucked away behind the trees on Route 26, off a road called Paradise, is a small, red brick building.

News in brief

SPORTS

At the start of the Ice Lions' season, first-year head coach Pat Fung asked his team what its goal was for the year. The answer was the same across the board: to win a national championship.

Ohio State wanted the same thing Penn State wanted, only yesterday the Buckeyes wanted it a little more.

For a team that became all too predictable as the season went on, the 2004 Penn State field hockey team's season was brought to a premature end at the hands of a rather unlikely foe, in a rather unlikely scenario, no less. The Nittany Lions lost 3-2 to Ohio State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament Friday, putting to rest any hopes of a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

He warmed up a couple times in the second half, but that was about the extent of the action true freshman prodigy quarterback Anthony Morelli saw in Saturday's 14-7 loss to Northwestern.

If you were to come anywhere near refuting his season-long assessment of Michael Robinson, Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, most likely, would quickly tell you not to question him.

All in all, it was a day to remember for Noah Herron.

It has been an up and down season for the Penn State men's soccer team's Simon Omekanda. The sophomore came into the season with lofty expectations after a promising freshman campaign and he started the season strong with three goals in Penn State's first four games.

Embarrassing teams by a dozen goals, recording multiple hat tricks in the same game, outshooting its opponents by a 3-1 ratio -- that's nothing new.

What a weekend it was for Big Ten volleyball.

Unlike last year, the Penn State men's basketball team started off this season on the right foot.

It's become a routine now, to be sure.

The Penn State men's volleyball team was dominant this weekend in its exhibition matches against Ohio State.
