Reader glad America elected Pres. Bush
In the past few years, months, and especially the past few days, I have read this paper and seen nothing but a slanted, negative view of our president and everything that he stands for, which is a lot more than most can speak of. America shocked a lot of us when President George W. Bush was re-elected. I was shocked that this nation chose to pick someone who stands for morals and common sense. Someone to stand up and say that killing a fetus for personal gain is wrong. Someone to point out that marrying someone of the same sex is not what God intended. Someone to stand up to the terrorists and Saddam Husseins of the world and do what is right to protect the free world. But these views seem to escape the writings of your paper. Ignore the fact that America was attacked on Sept. 11 and that Bush felt he had to be proactive to prevent other threats. Ignore the fact that Hussein has been a murdering dictator whose demise was long overdue. Ignore the fact of what is right and decent and keep telling yourself that Bush is some evil villain that needs to be dealt with. America did what it had to do on Nov. 2. That's not just my opinion. There's 59 million more who agree with me.
