Letter to the Editor
Letter shows reasons people voted Bush

I'd like to thank Ace Ekhtiarzadeh ("Citizens based votes on fears, lies, morals" Thurs., Nov. 4) for not wasting any time in coming up with excuses for why President George W. Bush defeated Sen. John Kerry to make all of Kerry's supporters sleep better at night. Thank you for letting me know why I voted for Bush, because I guess I didn't know for myself. I didn't realize that I hated homosexuals, that I am only ruled by my basest fears and that I am so easily duped by lies. Or, it could be that despite the amendments to ban gay marriage in some states, the media's lies to persuade me to think that Saddam Hussein had nothing to hide, and Kerry's attempts to get me to fear for my life from a draft if Bush won, I realized Bush is the best man for the job. I'm glad to see that the majority of Americans who weren't too "lazy" to vote agreed with me. I can't wait to see what other silly excuses Kerry supporters come up with to hide the fact that they were just out of touch with the values of a majority of American voters.
