In response to Amanda Sponsler's outrageous comments ("Not all soldiers sent letters to filmmaker" Wed., Nov. 3) on Michael Moore's book, Will They Ever Trust Us Again?, I would like to say that Michael Moore does not hate America. He merely points out the weakest parts of our country, with the hope that we will fix them. To open his book, Moore includes a Salvador Dali quote which says, "wars have never hurt anybody except the people who die." So, since the only people who are getting hurt are apparently wrong, who should we listen to? Please remember that calling people ignorant for having a point of view is ignorance itself. And by the way, there is no parallel between The Communist Manifesto and Moore's book.
