Penn State student Brian Hanley, 21, is in serious condition at Altoona Hospital after an incident at 2 a.m. Sunday at Calder Commons, 520 E. Calder Way, in which he fell from the second floor of the parking deck.
State College Police said Hanley was walking backwards in the second floor of the parking deck when he bumped against the waist-high wall and fell about 10 feet to the ground. He sustained superficial cuts and abrasions to the head. Police said he was air-lifted to the hospital with internal bleeding in the brain.
The nursing supervisor at Altoona Hospital said Hanley is still in serious condition at the hospital but could not comment further.
Police said Hanley had been drinking that night, but they do not know if drinking was a factor in his accident.
