State College Police are investigating the death of a 21-year-old Hazleton man who died Sunday afternoon while visiting friends in State College.

According to police reports, friends found the victim unresponsive at about 1 p.m. Sunday in an apartment in Beaver Hill, 340 E. Beaver Ave. The victim was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said yesterday they would not release the victim's name.

An autopsy was performed shortly after the victim was pronounced dead, and preliminary observations revealed no obvious signs of trauma, police said yesterday.

Police are awaiting the results of a toxicology report, which may take several weeks to complete, to determine the official cause of death.
