Letter to the Editor
Being liberal not evil as president claims

There is nothing wrong with being a liberal. If you watched the debates, according to President Bush, being liberal is a bad thing. My viewpoints mostly align with the liberals, but some are conservative. I am waiting for liberals to be labeled "evil-doers" so I can don my cape and weapons of mass destruction shirt and run around to see if they can defeat me. Secondly, I question the ability of conservatives to think on their own. I mean, do you still believe Bush when he talks about our great alliance (consisting of Poland, Pluto, one-third of Neptune, and one-fifth of 1 percent of Mars). Do you really believe terrorists want Sen. John Kerry to win? I admit the Bush administration has killed 75 percent of the leaders, but what about the tens of thousands he has recruited (bet you he won't drop those stats anytime soon), and he furthered the terrorists cause more in 4 years than the previous 30. Do you really believe the jobs he has created are adequate to replace those lost? I mean, that sales associate position at Wal-Mart sure is a step up from Boeing isn't it? I am sorry I am middle-class. I am sorry I am logical, fair and compassionate. I am sorry I make decisions on my own. On second thought, I am not sorry. Franklin Roosevelt once said, "A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned how to walk forward." With that said, I am proud to be a liberal and there isn't a damned thing wrong with it.
