Judge David Grine sentenced Nicolee Reese of Tyrone yesterday to two years of probation for her involvement in the assault of a State College Police officer last April.
Reese, 22, will be placed under the supervision of Blair County officials because her residence is in Tyrone.
The sentencing stems from an April 24 incident in which police said Reese became involved in an argument
with State College Police officer Kelly Aston, when
Aston and officer Nicholas Argiro attempted to break up a fight between two men on the 300 block of East College Avenue.
The two officers displayed their badges and identified themselves as State College police, but the two men continued to argue.
When the men continued to fight, Aston used pepper spray to break up the altercation. At that point, Reese, who was accompanying one of the men, assaulted Aston, grabbing her from the back of her hair and striking her repeatedly. Reese also assaulted Argiro when he came to assist Aston.
Reese was ultimately placed in the back of the State College cruiser where she proceeded to bend the door and break the window by kicking it en route to the police station.
Aston suffered bruises to her legs in addition to severe pain in her head, neck and back and was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
