In response to AJ Fluehr's letter ("Moore does not use some facts in work" Mon. Oct., 11) which was partially in response to my letter on Friday, I did not say conservatives don't use facts. I said I haven't heard anything to back up the accusation that Moore is a liar. I was not calling conservatives liars and I was not saying they never use facts. The point I was making, was that a lot of people on both sides of the aisle make claims that the other side is lying and they leave it at that. They don't say anything to explain their point. They act like "that's a lie" by itself is a quality argument. It's not. I used the claim Moore is a liar as an example. I never hear back-up statements to show that this is true. You yourself did it in your letter. You say he lies in his films but don't give one example. Someone e-mailed me about my letter on Friday and gave me some links to articles on the Internet that give some back up to the claim. That's what I was looking for. I won't get in to what I think of those articles, but if you're going to say someone is lying: give me some back up!
