While I welcome the warm-hearted sympathy of Maggie Clark, I feel I must point out something to her that she and the thick-headed administrators of this univeristy fail to miss. The Lion operates based on a license granted by the federal government. This license requires equipment that is quite costly; moreso than any bake sale could cover. This is our basic arguing point for university support. I support financial aid to other student organizations. But the reality is The Lion has to answer to the FCC, while the chess club and Monty Python Association do not.
