State College Police are now looking for a suspect in the case of a woman who reported she was raped early Sept. 19 near Fraser Street and Fairmount Avenue.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s. Police said the victim reported that she could not yet estimate the man's height because he was inside the car, but said he had puffy cheeks.
The victim reported to police she was walking home at about 2:30 a.m. when a white vehicle with four men inside approached her.
Police said they originally believed that the men had thrown her into the car; however, they said yesterday that the woman got in the car when she was offered a ride to find her boyfriend.
While there were four passengers in the vehicle, police said yesterday only one of them is considered a suspect in the case.
Anyone with any further information is encouraged to call State College Police at (814) 234-7150.
