Bosch generalizes unfairly about troops

I was appalled when I read Torie Bosch's blatant slam at War on Terror veterans, and the modern United States military in general. I, personally, am a proud veteran of the War on Terror. I gave up a semester and served overseas in Operation Enduring Freedom. Bosch's calling us "irresponsible" and "stupid" is nothing short of ungrateful prejudice against those of us who have defended our nation. I thought Penn State had a "zero tolerance" hate policy.

Bosch also said there should be a mandatory education session at basic training. Guess what, there is. It is called Law of Armed Conflict and Geneva Convention. There, we learn the legalities of warfare. Had she done sufficient research, Bosch would have discovered this.

Finally, I would like to add that everyone I served with did so in a professional manner. We knew what we were fighting for. We were defending our freedom from those who wish to destroy it. We were liberating those who have never had freedom. We were even defending Bosch's freedom to "post pictures on the Internet of illegal behavior."

Bosch has a real credibility problem here, frankly because she wasn't there. I was. I am proud to have defended and protected our nation, and would do so again in a heartbeat, if needed.
