Police Log - Monday, Sept. 27, 2004

Theft: A male student reported his backpack was taken from racquetball courts in Rec Hall at about 1:30 p.m. Friday, Penn State Police Services said. The estimated value of the bag and its contents is $830.

Theft: A male student reported the theft of his bicycle from Young Hall at about 5:30 p.m. Friday, police said. The estimated value of the bicycle is $3,000.

Theft: A John Kerry sign was removed from a yard in the 1000 block of Saxton Drive sometime between Saturday evening and early yesterday morning, police said. A Bush-Cheney sticker was also placed on the resident's vehicle. The incident was reported at about 9:30 a.m. yesterday.
