Jim Donovan, drummer and founding member of the band Rusted Root, will teach an interactive drumming workshop today and tomorrow in Centre County. Today's Interactive Drumming Experience will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Center for Well Being in Lemont, and will focus on the basics of hand drumming, musicianship and group dynamics through drumming.

The Day of Drumming workshop will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. tomorrow at the One World Environmental Center in Spring Mills and will take a more in-depth approach to the lesson at today's workshop. There will also be a special live show, Drum the Ecstatic, from 7:30 to 9:30 tomorrow night at the Equinox Café, Millheim. The show will feature sets from Donovan and musician Paul Berkobin.

The Interactive Drumming Experience is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. The Day of Drumming Workshop costs $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Both workshops can be taken for $50.
