Today's University Park forecast
Extremely beautiful weather across the region today is a
welcome change from the terrible flooding caused by
Hurricane Ivan over the weekend. The lower portions of
the Susquehanna River are only now finally beginning to
recede below flood stage, allowing the major cleanup
efforts to get underway. The weather pattern over the
next few days will remain steady as a powerful high
pressure system plants its roots over the Mid-Atlantic
region denying any large-scale cloud formations to
intrude. Meanwhile, a storm system in the midwest will
take its time as it propogates across the country, only
to arrive this weekend with minimal impact.
