The Penn State men's soccer team has been ranked in all four national polls this week.
The Nittany Lions jumped from 13th to eighth in the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) Top 25 poll after beating Virginia Tech 2-1 in overtime and then previously unbeaten Akron 4-0 to win the Penn State Nike Classic Sept. 18-19 at Jeffrey Field.
The Lions are currently 3-0-3 on the season and are currently tied with SW Missouri St. for the longest unbeaten streak in the country at nine games, dating back to last season. Penn State went 2-0-1 in the Big Ten Championships last season to end the year, with Indiana winning the conference title on penalty kicks.
All three of Penn State's ties have come against Top 10 programs (No. 6 North Carolina, No. 8 Wake Forest and No. 2 St. John's).
The Lions are ranked 14th in both the Soccer America and Soccer Times polls, while College Soccer News has Penn State ranked 16th.
