Student charged with sexual assault

Penn State student Nathan A. Torok, of the 200 block of South Fraser Street, was charged Monday morning with the sexual assault of his roommate's girlfriend.

After a party at their apartment, the victim reported Torok climbed in the same bed with her and began to touch her inappropriately, police said. When the victim moved into another bed, Torok followed her and began to touch her again.

Torok was arraigned in front of District Justice Carmine Prestia and charged with aggravated indecent assault and related charges.


Tickets on sale for first series' speaker

Tickets go on sale today for the year's first Distinguished Speaker, political commentator and journalist Robert Novak, who will be speaking at 8 p.m. Sept. 29 in Eisenhower Auditorium.

Penn State students can get two free tickets with their student IDs. Thursday, ticket sales are open to Penn State students, faculty and staff. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday at the Eisenhower Box Office, the HUB outlet and the Downtown Theatre Center.
