News in Brief

A female walking around 11 p.m. Wednesday on the 100 block of Hetzel Street reported being grabbed by a man who jumped out of the bushes, State College police said.

According to police, the man approached the victim and asked where she was going. After she replied she was going home, he grabbed her left wrist and said she was "not going anywhere," police said. She broke free from his grip and fled the scene. The man did not attempt to follow her. The assailant is described as being white, 6 feet tall with brown hair hanging slightly below his ears. He was wearing an orange University of Texas baseball cap, a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
