Altoona resident Ronald Kenney waived a preliminary hearing yesterday at Centre County Court, Bellefonte, on charges that he stole more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from Kaufmann's at the Nittany Mall on Jan. 10, 2003.

Kenney is charged with retail theft, criminal conspiracy and receiving stolen property. He is scheduled for arraignment on Oct. 11 and a pre-trial conference will take place Nov. 23.
