A charge against Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity, 329 E. Prospect Ave., for selling/furnishing alcohol to a minor was dismissed yesterday because a judge determined that the fraternity did not know the person was a minor.
But District Justice Thomas Jordan ruled that the fraternity will stand trial for a lesser charge of unlawful acts relevant to liquor during a preliminary hearing yesterday at Centre County Courthouse, Bellefonte.
Jordan was not available for comment on the ruling. A pre-trial conference will be held Nov. 23.
