Today's University Park forecast
A very complex weather pattern will set up across the
Eastern US over the next few days. Hurricane Ivan, like
his predecessor Frances, will affect Pennsylvania weather
this coming weekend. Dreary weather will contimue today
and tomorrow as moisture steams up the backbone of the
Appalachians ahead of a storm system currently centered
in the upper midwest. Unfortunately, this system appears
as if it will begin to steer Ivan and then ship out to
the northeast leaving him behind over our region. This
could mean a very soggy period beginning this weekend.
Also, Tropical Storm Jeanne, which is near the USVI, will
continue to the NW.
