Year: Super-senior/graduate student  
Hometown: Richmond, Va.
Major: journalism and political science; graduate degree in media studies
Other activites: Schreyer Honors College, Society of Professional Journalists, former Collegian reporter and editor, practicing Catholic
Favorite ice cream flavor: chocolate with peanut butter swirl
Favorite TV station for news: NBC
Q: What did you do last weekend?
A: Went to Manhattan for the Society of Professional Journalists national convention. (I had the football score text messaged to my cell phone.)
Q: What will you write columns about?
A: Local interest and campus concerns. I've watched this town from a student perspective for four years, and I'd like to comment on what I've observed. Send me your ideas, I welcome suggestions.
Q: What would you consider the biggest news story last year and why?
A: Locally, two tragic student deaths, Salvador Peter Serrano and Kathy Ibanez. Nationally, the lead-up to the 2004 election.
Q: What musical artist would you want to come to State College?
A: They Might Be Giants
Q: What is the biggest problem of our generation?
A: Social apathy, and a feeling of entitlement.
