Quarterbacks C- Mills was the entire Lions offense in the first half, but four interceptions - all huge momentum breakers - were the difference in this game.
Running backs D Nothing to speak of here. Hunt never got in any sort of rhythm against an impressive BC front seven. Jefferson's fumble gave BC seven points.
Wide receivers A The brightest spot of the game for PSU, Michael Robinson and Gerald Smith caught everything that was in their reach and even a few that weren't.
Offensive line C+ Provided excellent protection for Mills, but mostly against a four-man rush. BC controlled the line of scrimmage in the run game.
Defensive line C Had Peterson on the run but had trouble bringing him down. BC tailback Callender made the Lions front look silly, routinely getting 5-6 yards a carry.
Linebackers C Posluszny was all over the field but Wake and Tim Shaw were non-existent against the BC run game. Shaw missed the QB on a crucial fourth-down play.
Secondary B- The Eagles made the best of the Lions "bend-don't-break" philosophy. Anwar Phillips still has trouble covering speedy receivers like Grant Adams.
Special teams D Two roughing the punter penalties on the first drive may have completely altered this game. The return games are still non-threatening.
