Letter to the Editor
Reader doesn't have Bush's information

I am not sorry that I will have to disagree with you, the writer of the letter explaining why another letter was wrong in supporting George W. Bush. My father was fortunate enough to hear Mr. Bush's senior adviser Karl Rove speak last spring, and did you know that the president receives a portfolio that Mr. Rove referred to as the "threat alert" each morning? This portfolio details all threats that were received during the night, and each morning the president looks over the pages that make up this report. But, with that as a preface, I'll get back to your letter. I am delighted to hear that you are privy to the knowledge that 9/11 was avoidable, and ever happier to hear that you are privy to the knowledge of what Iraq was like every day when Saddam Hussein was last in power. Excuse the sarcasm, but listen to yourself; you say that 9/11 was avoidable as if it was Pres. Bush's decision to let it happen, and then you berate him for acting on intelligence involving Iraq. The president chooses what to act on every morning, with millions of lives dependent on his decision, and you are going to talk like you read those portfolios? Unlike the flip flops you are used to as a Kerry supporter; Bush's decision to act on intelligence regarding Iraq was what people like you asked for after 9/11. I've read Machiavelli and I am fine with a Machiavellian president.
