Letter to the Editor
Administration afraid of not having control

I am writing in response to the guest column submitted by Vicky Triponey. It is an outrage that Triponey and the administration persist to excuse the abolition of student's governing powers by citing constitutional rights. This language is being used to blind students to the truth behind their decision. I have never read anything in the constitution guaranteeing any group the right to receive endorsement and funding from a university. Individuals do have the right to assemble and the USG court has never denied this constitutional right. It is time for Triponey to be honest with students; it makes her and the administration uncomfortable to see anyone have power and influence on this campus unless it is them.
