Misinformed voters hurt all U.S. citizens
While chatting with my fellow students, I realized that most of the PSU student body is misinformed. Miguel Hernandez (Sept. 8 "Bush's flaws show Kerry right choice") did nothing more than emphasize that opinion by writing rubbish such as, "It only has become painfully apparent recently that Saddam Hussein was better at running Iraq than George W. Bush is, or most likely will ever be." So, are you implying that if Bush took over Iraq that he would gas and torture millions of people as well? How utterly ridiculous. Please do your research before voting, my fellow students. Don't take everything at face value. Read periodicals, newspapers, online articles, watch the news and then form your own opinion. Don't vote for Kerry because you hate Bush and vice versa. If you're going to do that, then just sit at home and watch the results on TV. A million misinformed, brainless voters is a more powerful force than one-tenth that of intelligent, well versed voters and can completely ruin our future. A vote can be a powerful tool. Please use it wisely or don't use it at all.
