Today's University Park forecast
The remnants of Hurricane Frances will begin to enter
into the region during the day today, bringing torrential
downpours and concerns of flooding. The central mountains
of Pennsylvania could receive anywhere between one to
three inches of rain while areas in western Pennsylvania
could receive as much as five inches of rain before the
event is over. Small streams and low lying areas will
become inundated with water as the storm slowly moves to
the northeast during the day today and tomorrow. By
Friday, it appears as if Frances will be no more, and
some sun will return to the Commonwealth just in time for
the weekend.
