Liberal bias shows at University Park
While it's certainly not a shock that Penn State, bastion of liberalism and "diversity" that it is, is bringing in Howard Dean just days before the election, it is disappointing. From spending my money to bring in liberal speakers, supposedly tempered by one rather moderate Republican, to using University Facilities to sponsor a concert benefiting a group that brazenly and publicly slanders our president and commander in chief, frankly, this is par for the course for Penn State. As for Pennsylvania being the key battleground state, if anyone questions it, you need only look at the number of times both the President and Senator Kerry have visited the state. The confluence of different issues in this state and the number of electoral votes makes it highly prized to both campaigns, and they'll tell you that. Penn State administration: Stop taking my money and using it to further your own left-wing agenda. Students of Penn State: Pay attention and realize that your opinion and your vote do actually matter in this election. Tiffany Iriana
