Certain expressions can hurt more than others

While I understand how frustrating it is to hear something offensive, ("Expressions by people can offend Christians," April 27) Gregory Fletcher needs to understand there is a large difference between when people say "that's so gay" and "oh my god."

The latter is a common phrase of disbelief many use that never has been meant as offensive, while "that's so gay" is an insult. It has always been an insult and always will be; there is nothing positive about it. That's why it is offensive to the gay community and others. While I understand your frustration at the use of the phrase referring to your god, please understand your comparison is unfair.
