Man steals money bag from Mio Zio manager

An unknown man stole an undetermined amount of money from Mio Zio, 130 W. College Ave., at about 10 p.m. Tuesday, the State College Police Department said yesterday.

The man entered the restaurant through a rear basement door. Once inside, he pushed the restaurant's manager and grabbed the night deposit bag she was holding. He then fled on foot into Calder Way and headed in an unknown direction.

The manager was not injured by the push.

Police described the man as white, in his mid 20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with shaggy, greasy, dirty-blond, collar-length hair. Police said the man had facial stubble and was wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a dark blue shirt and jeans.

Police are investigating the incident.
