Greek comedy gets Shakespearean

Shakespeare in the Courtyard will bring students the opportunity to enjoy Aristaphones' play Lysistrata in an outdoor setting today and tomorrow at 5 p.m. in the Atherton Courtyard.

Shakespeare in the Courtyard is an annual event, currently in its third year, which strives to make theater more accessible to students. Lysistrata provides a feminist look at ancient Greece, in which the women agree to refuse sex until the men have signed a peace treaty.

The Atherton Courtyard is located outside of Atherton Hall, in South Halls. Tickets are free.
