Letter to the Editor
Columnists earn right to do common practice

This is in response to Kevin Wilson's letter, "Reader: The redundant goodbye columns old," on Friday. That is probably the stupidest complaint I've ever read that has been submitted and published by The Daily Collegian. This is hilarious -- why are you even complaining about someone writing their "last column?" Suck it up, it's their column. They're allowed to do whatever they want with it.

The idea of a writer's "last column" is found in more newspapers than just the Collegian. Take a look around -- it's a standard procedure. More importantly, it's an editorial. I'd suggest you look up the definition of an "editorial" in the dictionary. And, why be so pessimistic? Either be happy for them, or don't read the editorials. Either way, get over it.
