Assault: A man reported at 3:13 a.m. yesterday that an unknown person punched him twice in the head on the 900 block of Bellaire Avenue, the State College Police Department said. The man was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center for a laceration to his left eye and forehead. The investigation is continuing, police said.

Theft: A staff member reported to Penn State University Police early Friday morning that two laptop computers and a rolling suitcase were taken from Sparks Building. The incidents happened during the morning hours on Wednesday and Thursday. The estimated value of loss is $4,700.
