The Penn State National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications is hosting its first conference from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow at the MBNA Career Services Center.
Publicity director Rachel Ferguson said HBO, Lifetime, Fox, MTV and BET will be in attendance to provide support for students through programs on networking, advances in technology and the climate of the communications industry.
Ferguson said the program is geared toward communications majors but is beneficial to all majors.
"The conference is meant to teach students about professionalism and how to gain networking skills, among other things," she said.
Ferguson said students would learn how to apply for internships, search for jobs and write resumes.
