Letter to the Editor
UPAC clears up where PSU activity fee goes

This letter is meant to clarify points discussed in an April 9 letter about Napster ("Napster 'service' not worthy of reader's $10"). The activity fee does many things to enhance students' out-of-class experience at University Park. It does not, however, fund the Napster program offered in the residence halls. Full-time students pay $45 per semester that is distributed by the University Park Allocation Committee (UPAC) among student groups and other organizations who request funds.

If you have questions about the fee, basic information can be found at www.clubs.psu.edu/upac. Or, more detailed information can be found by contacting me at nas174@psu.edu.
