FastDate is coming to Penn State from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Days Inn, 240 S. Pugh St.

FastDate is a speed-dating program that gives single students, ages 18 to 25, the opportunity to meet up to 20 other singles. Speed dating allows singles to speak to the person sitting across from them for five minutes. The process works on a question-and-answer basis to find common interests.

After the five minutes, the choice is given to each participant to record the interested single's registration number. If the numbers match at the end of the night, contact information is given for future meeting possibilities.

FastDate is sponsored by Hot 107.9 and the American Lung Association of Pennsylvania, to which all proceeds will be donated. Registration is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Refreshments and door prizes will be offered.
