For more than 40 years, Centre County authorities have debated the need to relieve traffic congestion on heavily traveled State College roads.

As the sun set last night, marking the arrival of Passover, Jewish students who were unable to go home began finding ways to celebrate and observe the holiday in State College.

A timeline for upcoming renovations at Graduate Circle Apartments was released to residents last week to make them aware of factors that may affect lease-signing for the apartments later this month.

Some late-night pizza shop workers and delivery people say that if they do not receive an adequate tip, it is usually a college student who hasn't given a proper chunk of change for their service.

Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Academic Assembly held elections again last night, despite voting for executive members last week.

The man who said he was beaten and restrained by All American Rathskeller employees in a way similar to that which led to the death of Penn State student Salvador Peter Serrano was convicted yesterday on the three citations against him.

Diane Wilson will speak on "The Intimate Connection between the Environment and Peace from a Global Perspective," at 7:30 p.m. at the State College Borough Municipal Building, 243 S. Allen St., in room 201. An international peace and environmental activist, Wilson is the founder of UnReasonable Women for the Earth.

More Penn State students are patrolling downtown for the State College Police Department through the new Downtown Safety Enhancement Program (DSEP) funded by borough property owners.

The Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors passed a motion to send the rezoning request of Circleville Farm to the planning commission for further review.

Matt Montemorano informed the State College Borough Council last night of his concern about being evicted from his West Beaver Avenue apartment. His comments were among many raised regarding the new West Beaver Avenue and Fraser Street parking garage.

On Sunday, high jumper Amber Strouse left the Penn Invitational with her first-ever first-place finish in a meet as a member of the Penn State women's track team. But the freshman's memorable win almost didn't happen.

With the close of the Women's United Soccer Association last September, the futures of former Penn State women's soccer stars Christie Welsh and Joanna Lohman were left in limbo.

As they entered the Eldorado Hotel Casino's Convention Center in Reno, Nevada, for the National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) national championships, Penn State boxing coach Alex Komlev and his fighters, Bret King and Vitaly Libman, may have thought, "We're not in the White Building anymore."

Going to work out at the gym before taking a test can relieve some stress, but listening to music at the same time can improve cognitive ability and test scores, according to a study led by Charles Emery, professor of psychology at Ohio State University.

Deer hunting is a way of life for thousands of Pennsylvanians, but with thousands of deer and hunters, there comes a great need for the appropriate regulation of the deer population.

For those of us who once used Kazaa (or maybe still do) or have burned CDs or DVDs, we know it's not something new in today's age. But as the war against digital piracy continues, government organizations such as the FBI have become involved in protecting the music and movie industries.

To stay focused and awake during all-night study sessions, some students are using Adderall, a prescription drug. However, the drug is not prescribed for students who need to study.
