Diane Wilson will speak on "The Intimate Connection between the Environment and Peace from a Global Perspective," at 7:30 p.m. at the State College Borough Municipal Building, 243 S. Allen St., in room 201. An international peace and environmental activist, Wilson is the founder of UnReasonable Women for the Earth.
In 2002, with the creation of her organization, she connected her environmental activism with the world peace movement. Her speech tonight will feature descriptions of her experiences across the globe with highlights of her travels.
The event is sponsored by the International Hospitality Council as part of its community outreach program and is the organization's first world affairs forum.
