Poor field conditions force baseball to cancel

The Penn State baseball club's weekend series with New Penn conference foe Rutgers was postponed because of poor field conditions.

Penn State hoped to be able to get the games in, but rain caused the fields at the Shaner Baseball Complex to be unplayable. The three-game series has not yet been rescheduled.

Penn State already has to reschedule a three-game series with another conference team, Pennsylvania. That series was also postponed because of inclement weather. Penn State will now have to wait until this weekend to open its home schedule.
