Letter to the Editor
Life lessons aren't high on fraternity to-do lists

I am writing in response to Chris Kovalchick's letter ("Straights don't want education from gays," March 29). I believe Kovalchick is correct in pointing out that fraternity members do not need nor want to be educated about anyone perceived as different from them, particularly those of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender persuasion. It is difficult enough trying to manage the day-to-day stresses of fraternity and university living, and then be barraged by all this extraneous information about how other people live.

Like Kovalchick, I often feel badly about the irritations suffered by the Penn State straight, white, male elite.

Boo-hoo.
