Police Log

Assault: A man reported at about 3 a.m. Saturday that he was assaulted by another man known to him in an apartment at 210 W. Beaver Ave., the State College Police Department said. The victim was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for bruising and swelling of his head. Simple assault charges are pending against the man who did the assaulting but may be upgraded to aggravated assault at the recommendation of the Centre County District Attorney's office, police said.

Assault: A man reported at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday that a woman known to him punched him in the mouth over a monetary dispute on the 200 block of East College Avenue, the State College Police Department said. Police are investigating the incident.

Burglary: Unknown individuals entered a residence between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday on the 200 block of South Atherton Street and splattered paint in the kitchen, living room and dining room of the house, the State College Police Department said. Police are unaware of how the actors entered the residence, and value of the damage is about $3,000, police said.

Theft: A student reported at about 8 p.m. Friday that her wallet was taken from Pattee Library, Penn State University Police said. The incident occurred between 5 and 7 p.m. The value of the item and its contents is about $600, police said.

Vandalism: A 1959 Nash Metro was reported flipped on its side at 12:06 a.m. Saturday while it was parked in the rear parking lot at 219 E. Prospect Ave., the State College Police Department said. The car sustained moderate damage to its right side. Value of the damage was unknown, police said.

Vandalism: Six vehicles reportedly had their windows smashed by unknown individuals sometime between Saturday night and yesterday morning, the State College Police Department said. The incidents occurred on or around the 1000 block of Greenfield Circle. Anyone with information is asked to call State College police at 234-7150.

Vandalism: An individual reported that numerous entrance door windows were smashed at Our Lady of Victory School, 820 Westerly Pkwy., the State College Police Department said. Value of the damage was unknown, police said.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
