Israel's method off, but Yassin 'deserved' death
I agree with M. Hamdan Yousuf in his letter that condemns Israel for firing rockets at the quadriplegic Sheikh Ahmed Yassin ("Yassin's assassination cannot be accepted," March 25). Israel could have and should have arrested him and tried him in court, allowing due process to be his judge. However, his assertion that Yassin was a great and noble man and an advocate for peace is utterly ridiculous. This man orchestrated terrorist acts that killed innocent Israeli civilians. There is no excuse for the intentional murder of innocent civilians. Yassin did not want peace. He wanted to destroy Israel. I disagree with the method Israel used to get rid of Yassin, but they are, after all, at war. In the end, Yassin got what he deserved. Ryan Lynch
